Period Late And Cervical Mucus

Good News From Dixie’s Land

Aaron Neville - I Know I've Been Changed - Tell It Records 2010 . end of the year when I heard that Aaron Neville had released a gospel album produced by Joe Henry (sooner or later must be beatified ..) and that our plan was accompanied by His Majesty Allen Toussaint , I had a sinking heart and I hoped to hear great music. And I assure you that I was not disappointed. The angelic voice of Aaron with his unmistakable falsetto singing a handful of classics with a unique intensity and crystalline class. The choice of Henry is to sound harsh, blues, thanks to the presence of a great Greg Leisz the dobro and lap steel, of Chris Bruce on guitars, of Patrick Warren on keyboards and a Hot and essential rhythmic base (the big Jay Bellerose the skins and David Piltch on bass). Difficult to choose between these twelve pearls. We can remember a sweet Stand By Me, the infectious joy of I Done Made Up My Mind , intense I Know I've Been Changed with Toussaint giving piano lessons to all. In Do not Let Him Ride the rhythms they get up and boogie on the floor behind Allen is the only trigger Bruce , while a choir maintains a high climax. Wonderful You Got To Move with pianism Toussaint that winks at master Professor Longhair . Oh Freedom is a balm for the soul that beginning with a cappella and the slide guitar that highlights the sweetness of the blue notes of Toussaint . Meetin 'At The Building with bass, clapping and a gentle acoustic guitar is pure, simple elegance. In short, a wonderful disc that makes us better to just listen. In God We Trust ... Rating: 29/30

North Missi ssippi Allstars - Keys To The Kingdom - Songs Of The South Records 2011 . This trio composed of brothers Dickinson (guitar Luther, Cody drums) and bassist Chris Chew are fifteen years who delights us with his musical ideas. Our initially champions of that blues the hills of North Mississippi (represented by the likes of RL Burnside and Junior Kimbrough), were able to enrich their sound with other musical influences. With this new recording effort it takes a further step towards the search for a more varied style. The NMA is proving to be more attentive to the song form, less anchored to the rough-boogie blues played in the juke joints of the North Mississippi. So in this very good album, dedicated to the memory of his father's brother Dickinson (the great musician, session musician and producer Jim ) country rock tracks live (think of the power ballads How I Wish My Train Would Like and Hear The Hills ), gospel-flavored pieces (see the splendid cameo Mavis Staples in The Meeting), the inevitable North Mississippi Hill Country blues (Let It Roll ), energetic blues rock (New Orleans Walkin 'Dead , This A'way , Is not None O' Mine ) and delicious country-blues acoustic interludes ( Ol 'Cannonball ). A disc varied and convincing. Rating: 28.5 / 30
