Pierre Lévy e l’intelligenza collettiva 
Pierre Lévy, French philosopher who deals with studying the impact of the Internet on society, argues that the higher end of the Internet is the collective intelligence, a concept also discussed by other scholars in the past . It is based on the idea that intelligence can be operated beyond the groupthink - and its conformity - both individually, enabling a community to cooperate in maintaining reliable intellectual activities. So we can say that the collective intelligence
is a way efficace per la formazione del consenso. Lévy stesso afferma in un’intervista che l’intelligenza collettiva “[…] può essere valorizzata al massimo mediante le nuove tecniche, soprattutto mettendola in sinergia. Oggi, se due persone distanti sanno due cose complementari, per il tramite delle
nuove tecnologie , possono davvero entrare in comunicazione l'una con l'altra, scambiare il loro sapere, cooperare”.
