L’opera educativa della Chiesa è strettamente legata al momento e al contesto in cui essa si trova a vivere, alle dinamiche culturali di cui è parte e che vuole contribuire a orientare. Iniziamo da qui, in questa settimana che la nostra Diocesi dedica all’educazione, il nostro percorso di riflessione sul documento dei nostri vescovi “Educare alla vita buona del Vangelo”.

Ci dobbiamo mettere allora in ascolto sincero dell’universo giovanile, mai riducibile ad etichette o a semplificazioni, e cogliere quelle strade che lo Spirito sta scavando nel suo cuore senza fermarci spaventati di fronte agli ostacoli.
È vero infatti, come dicono le righe finali del paragrafo citato, che ci sono tendenze alquanto problematiche, e non vorrei qui darne eco e non per sminuirle ma perché sono argomenti già citati e noti, ma è anche vero che ci sono potenzialità inedite e da prendere in seria considerazione, appigli a cui è possibile aggrapparsi per iniziare un cammino profondo di sequela a Cristo.

I nostri giovani sanno richiamare l’altezza di ideali sinceri e soffrono quando vedono adulti che li tradiscono quotidianamente e li svendono in nome di potere, denaro e apparenza.
